A Humble Beginning
Born to a pirate mother and a Doman fish-merchant father, Grey's roots lie in simplicity. Raised in a loving family in the Doman countryside, he dreampt not for grandeur or gold. His time was spent playing with his siblings, learning to fish, or helping his mother with chores. Little did he know of his mother's pirate past, or the vastness of the trading company she'd left behind. However, fate had plans for the young miqo'te, uprooting that simple life into a nightmare with Garlemald's invasion.
The Empress Born
The death of his parents only furthered his decline into darkness. After Grey's escape from the Garlean's clutches, he fled to Kugane to hide within the unsavory corners of the city. It is in these corners that he made a name for himself: The Empress. Her influence spread like poison through the canal, every rat-infested soul knowing her name.Through his mother's trading company, his claws managed to sink overseas. The Empress wormed into the underbelly of Ul'dah, of Limsa, and even Ishgard herself. But this throne was one made upon the backs of rodents, of parasites. Dog, would eat dog.
Crushed Under Heel
Torn from his parents by Garlean dogs, Grey and his brother were stripped of identity and future. Too young to be soldiers, but too old to be useless, they were conscripted to a wealthy Garlean noble, in need of servants for his house with his wife's recent passing. Grey and his brother endured horrors like no other. The scars on his body, his mind and soul still run deep long after his escape.
A Fall From Godhood
It is inevitable, the rabid nature of starved beasts. The Empress' Empire crumbled, one that had been built on lies and deception. The once-God left to eat shit and piss like all the other worms at the bottom. Is this what he was truly meant to be?Grey's ambitions crushed, his heart humbled. What is he to do? Where is he to go? Who is he now?

Smoke & Mirrors
Ever elusive, Grey has gone by many names in the past, wearing just as many faces. Grey is an antagonizer, stirring the proverbial pot of trouble for his own amusement. Thrill-seeking and a little insane, Grey will spin lie after lie to obtain the most favorable outcome of any situation.
â™›
Another person met, a new mask is created. Grey has woven such a net of misinformation and secrecy surrounding himself, he's not even sure he remembers his real name or face any longer. As a master of illusion, he's as slippery as an eel, preferring mind games to confrontation.
Wretched Thing
Danger dressed in fine fabric and sharp heels, Grey dons an alluring figure. His body, a work of art, dancing clouds and fierce dragons inked into his ashen flesh. Though a mask covers his golden eyes, his fox-like smile is never hidden. Gold canines match the gold jewelry on his body, complimenting his sleek, dark hair.
â™›
Sharp, are his features and claws alike. Everything about the miqo'te is long, including his silky tail and ears. Between the teeth of his sinister smile, Grey usually perches his painted lips upon the mouthpiece of his golden kiseru, red sweet smoke following in his wake.
â™›
Prideful and alluring, his clothing is form-fitting, the catte usually draped in black finery and expensive jewelry. However, concealed beneath the delicate fabrics are secrets sharper still; knives always on his person. Though the nature of his work often calls for a state of undress, there is a golden rule:The mask does not come off. Ever.
